Maia Campbell in our prayers

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Remember the cute girl that played on L.L. Cool J’s Show “In the House“?  Maia Campbell is the daughter of the late author BeBe Moore Campbell.  She also played a role in the movie “Poetic Justice” and Tyrese’s music video “Sweet Lady”.  Well earlier this week, disturbing video of Maia showed up on You Tube and it displays her in a not so positive light.  She’s reportly battling mental illness and drug addiction.  It’s so sad to watch…Her mom wrote a book entitled “72 Hour Hold” which is said to be loosely based on her struggle with her daughter.  Here’s Maia in Tyrese’s video….

Rest In Peace Micheal…

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

It’s been confirmed that The King of Pop Micheal Jackson died today at the age of 50.  Micheal was taken to a L.A. hospital at around 12:30 L.A. time after suffering from cardiac arrest. He was preparing for his 50 date tour in London next month which ironically was called the “This Is It” tour.  It’s truly hard to believe this pop icon is gone.  We pray for Micheal’s family (especially his 3 young children) and his million of fans all over the world.  There will never be another like Micheal Jackson…rest in peace.

The Legendary Ed McMahon dies at 86

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

He’s famous for the way he bolstered Johnny Carson with a loud Heeeere’s Johnny on the Tonight Show for 30 years.  I remember him growing up as the host of “Star Search” helping expose talent like Sinbad, Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and a long list of others.

Mr. McMahon had bone cancer among other illnesses and recently battled a series of financial problems after breaking his neck two years ago.  I had the pleasure of meeting this legend many years ago and he was as nice as the man next door.  He will be missed. Ed McMahon was 86.

The CJ jeans debuted at Nordstrom for summer and will hit Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdales in September.
